Hi there just wondering if anyone can help me. This problem started occuring a couple of days ago. I'm using Internet Explorer 9.

When I try and watch videos on Youtube all I get is a black background with a spinning wheel. Sometimes I have to click the video three or four times before it starts playing. Sometimes it doesn't play at all. It just sits there with a black background and spinning wheel.

Any help would be appreciated.

internet explorers not really friendly with abode flash players etc.

download firefox browser and use that...

that really is the easy way..

You should also do a disc clean up..

start, all programmes, pc help and tools.. disc clean up.

in firefox simular is found in tools an much quicker.

I think you can import your IE favourites over to Firefox. If you do download it and it works, you can always use IE when surfing the web, but then swap to FF for youtube.
I have found Google Chrome a great web browser though. Your choice. ;) ;)

PS the long wait for videos to start up on YT could be a slow connection speed at your end. ;) ;)

Right I've downloaded Firefox and so far no problems with Youtube. However where are all my favourites?

When I installed it a box came up saying do you want to import all these Bookmarks, history etc.

Open Firefox and across the top there's a menu. File, Edit View etc, Select view. From the drop down menu choose toolbars, then tick bookmarks toolbar. Your imported favourites should appear on the toolbar that shows. ;) ;)

I've done that and bookmarks is already ticked. But there is no sign of my favourites. I mean all the websites such as this one.

On another note I am really enjoying Firefox. For once there doesn't seem to be any crashes like IE. IE was driving me barmy.

I would be doing something and click on the back button and suddenly the back and forward buttons would go black and what I was looking at would disappear. Put up with it for as long as I could but was starting to get fed up with it.
