I have a floor cupboard door
The hinges have gone several times

Each time I have very cleverly put wood glue in the broken parts + some wooden tooth picks jamed in
This last for about 4 months at a time
(I said 'cleverly' - mocking myself) :)

Now... the pain is peeling off + a small part of the wood is now coming off

See the 2 pics below:

What do I do?
Do I attempt to strip the whole door and repaint!?
(I wouldn't know where to star!)

One clever idea I had was to move the hinge location
Is this a good idea?
But then I still have the problem of the peeling paint
I'm not sure if I can find the same colour paint

Any replies would be great

Thanks

Best to move the hinges and repair the holes/damage properly. You will then have to repaint, but I think that this is unavoidable. You won't get the paint to match exactly as it will have discoloured over time, but may not be too noticeable if it's a small area

Thanks for that
I think I'll creat new hinges

Question: the bit of wood that's coming off - shall I take off? Or glue on, sand and repaint?

Thanks
