Thanks for the replies,Igorian I think that is the answer,I didnt think I should have to do that as have only just received the router! (aol) Looking at the router it says firmware version v1.08- apparently there is now a version 2.02t but its not available for download, as I'm not sure this will fix it,I'm going to ask for a replacement with the latest firmware- see how that goes.Just one thing,I downloaded Inssider and it gave the hg532 54kbps. I thought these were supposed to pump out a bit more than that, 150-300? Regards

Actually, firmware upgrades are quite normal and the end user can do it easily.
Like Windows itself, the original versions sit on the shelf for a while and updates are released. It's nothing unusual, so don't expect to get a replacement, just do the upgrade.
