hotpoint wmf740 spin and drain prob

Hi,

Had a problem with a friends machine, wouldn't pump out but would spin. Changed the pump as the old one had burn marks on the copper coils. Put new pump in and now it won't spin or pump. There is power to the pump but it doesn't empty. If you run it through a cycle it stops at rinse stage.

There is no error displaying but my friend mentioned it did display an error when it first stopped working, though she can't remember the number.

I'm hoping it's not the board as I've read it's over £100 to get a new one programmed etc.
