Because my Potterton Promax 28 boiler is install in the loft it is at the highest point of the system. It is recommended that an Automatic Air Vent Kit 720004701 is fitted. My question is where is it fitted? When I look on the top of the boiler (To the left of Flue Outlet) there is a rubber grommet where the Auto Air Vent should be fitted. When the rubber grommet is removed and I look into the boiler there does not appear to be anywhere directly underneath to connect the Auto Air Vent to. I have ordered the Auto Air Vent Kit and when I receive it, it may be obvious as to where it goes. The Installation and Service Instructions mention the Air Vent but there is no diagram showing it installed. As anybody fitted one of these to a Potterton Promax 28 HE Combi before?

Just below that grommet there is a blanking plug fitted to the heat x secured by a "d clip".Make sure when you remove it that the o ring comes out with it if you dont you will struggle like ~~## to get the a.a.v pipe in.

Hi Baxmax I noticed the blanking plug and the "D Clip" fitted to the Heat X, but with it being off-set to the blanked hole I had second thoughts. So is the a.a.v pipe flexible or someother arrangement?

No the a.a.v pipe is cranked {bent] to fall in line

Hi Baxmax . When I receive the part it will probably be self evident.I just wanted to have a idea before the part arrived. Thanks for your help much appreciated.

Pipe is 5122322

a.a.v is 5122321 Which i think you have

Washer is 5122325

Hope this helps

In the Installation Instructions the a.a.v.kit is part No 720004701 (which costs £23) which is what I have ordered,I hope it is not just the a.a.v beacause it is called a kit I hope it includes the pipe.

Hi Baxmax A.A.V Kit came today all asembled, it was self evident on how it was to be fitted. You where spot on about the plug/o-ring when you said "Make sure when you remove it that the o ring comes out with it if you dont you will struggle like ~~## to get the a.a.v pipe in.Thanks again all sorted.
