if the supply is going to the switch how does the 2 way lighting work regarding upstair and downstairs lighting. i have been racking my brain and i must be missing something.
i can get the downstairs switch to turn upstairs on and off,
when the landing light is off the switch upstairs turns the light on and off, but if the downstairs light turns upstairs on and you go upstairs to switch it off is stay on, obviously it got a constant suppy going to it and this is via the switch, where am i going wrong,

old wire in house so we have red black for the supply and the ususal yellow blue and red for the 2way.

switch down stairs have red -com blue L2 and Yellow L1
switch upstairs, live feed going in red-com black L1
2way wiring red-com blue L2 yellow L1

help please.

Your upstairs red live feed needs to go in L1 and your black switch live L2.
The three core strapper is correct.

Yeah, but if you had had the tools and the knowledge essential for doing this work you would have sorted it out straight away, no matter how many ways you think there are of doing it.
