I've already tiled the bathroom walls 600x400 and have picked out some floor tiles the same size.
My initial thought was to line the grout gaps up with the tile grout gaps on the wall you look at straight ahead when entering the bathroom.
After reading the wall and floor tiling sticky, it says wall tile gaps 2 to 3 mm, floor 5mm.
I've set my wall gaps with 2mm spacers, obviously if I use 5mm on the floor, only the first grout line will line up, all the rest will get progressively worse.

Is it that necessary to keep to the 5mm gap for the floor, or is there another option you would use to lay the tiles in a different pattern?
Thanks
