Hi Folks,
I'm building a couple of "shaker" style MDF cupboard doors for my kitchen and using loose-tongue joints at the corners of the frames which surround the central panels.
Please can anyone help me with advice regarding the following:
1) The best type of glue for joints in MR MDF?
2) How to cramp the joints nice and square whilst the glue goes off?
Many thanks in advance!
Yours,
Alex

Any half decent PVA will do or one of the Titebond Alphatic resins, brush it on to make sure the surfaces are all covered. Run a bead of glue down the groove as well to stick the panel in for added strength.

Clamp door up on a flat surface, if the ends have been cut true the door should almost square itself but the best method is to compare the two diagonal measurements, when they are the same the door is square (providing opposite parts were cut to the same length)

Many Thanks Jason,
Sash cramps or is there something more hi-tech these days?
I'll have to buy some anyway....
Cheers,

I just use F clamps you can use the Bessy type clamps if you want to spend a bit more.
