If your radiators need bleeding they will normally feel cold at the top as the water has been replaced by air. Assuming they are conventional wall hung Stelrad wall radiators, there will be a small valve at one side of the top of each radiator (like a small knut). You place a small "hollow" bleeding key (available any hardware or DIY or plumbing shop) over the valve and loosen it. Hold a cloth underneath in case any hot water dribbles out. You should hear a hissing noise as any air is released. Then retighten the valve. You may need to do this to several in turn to balance them.

hi,i,ve undone the rad valves with a key, downstairs there was no hissing, just water coming out ,but upstairs bathroom lots of air came out and no water,no water came out of the others upstairs either. The low pressure light has came on the boiler, ive now built pressure back up to just below one bar.any other info much appreciated, thank you.
