What about shove hapenny and snooker, or hopscotch?

well archery and shoting ARE already in the Olympics, but the games you mention aren't !!! and archery and shooting are very similar to darts.... whhereas your selection are not !!

Nice though, to get a post from you without verbal abuse attached....

I get a sort of mental block whenever football appears on the tv, it goes straight over my head, i've been informed definatly within the last year that the BEST player of all time was GEORGE, and let me assure you, we do not argue with my sister on football or religion, in a contest with anyone on this site i would put money on her, i kid you not, i was still at school when she was secretary for Killie.

George Best would've cleaned Messi's boots... Although if Messi is the racist tv@t as alleged, he should be scrubbed from the history books,,,,

But the point is, football players rely on a team...and have a short career... Taylor has literally Ruled alone for 20 years !!!!

I do agree about the mind set though, but its the same in a lot of sports, take Foggy for instance, he had to dominate the other riders before he got on his bike otherwise he would never have won, i used to play in a pub team and if on occasion i played against a female i went to pieces and it was all in the mind.

The best sportsman ever has to be Max Woosnam.

Olympic gold and silver at the Olympics, Tennis

Won the Doubles tournament at Wimbledon

Made a 147 in snooker

Played golf off scratch

Score a century in cricket at Lords

Captain of Britain's Davis Cup squad

Played for Chelsea FC, then went on to captain Manchester City and played for England

I agree with you Martin. Sexist, racist, ageist scum should be removed from the world.

I'm so glad we agree on something for a change.

I always thought Lionel Messi looked part Native American. Being Argentinian, that's a strong possibility.

As for the OP saying you don't need fitness for table tennis; well, I disagree. Do you seriously think Phil Taylor would be able to play table tennis? Professionals would run him ragged around the table. He wouldnt even be able to run to the next shot. But that's not to take anything away from Taylor. He was highly dominant in his sport.

Extremely impressive. CB Fry was another. Stephen Fry is also supposed to be a distant relative of Fry. I think there is some likeness there, but that could be just coincidence.

what nonsence..... Taylor doesn't play ping pong profesionally.. my point was there are sports where you don't need to be ripped....

Even rugby.... some forwards are there as ballast !!!

You could train a chimp to be a darts champion if he had enough practice.

It's practice not talent.
