hi all
can anybody reccomment a good manufacturer of sliding gear for pocket doors. I was thinking of installing a set of double pocket doors to split a living/dining area in my existing open plan arrangement. I may also install a sliding partition to the side of my staircase which is also in my open plan living/dining area, to cut noise travel at night and keep some heat downstairs in the winter bbrrrr.
this is all still in the 'design stage' so i can be a bit flexible.

I was looking on the henderson site and their stuff looks ok but i would like to hear from anyone who has used it.

my main concerns are :
* durability, i would like to use something that will last well
* noise of operation
* ease of installation
any feedback most welcome
:confused: :confused:

I've used the Eclisse door gear a few times and its well made, slide quite smoothly and decent instructions.

I get it from Ironmongery Direct but there are other suppliers.

Hi dubdad
Try system called Hercules sliding door gear for 60kg or 120kg doors.
Its a 10 minute job and wheels are ball bearing based.

That Hercules gear is not really for pocket doors. The eclesse has the fully formed pocket that you just build in and on double doors like dubdad wants the two doors are linked so as one is opened the other also slides back into the wall at the same time.

Matt do you work for Buller by any chance as all the three posts you have made seem to recommend one form or another of their sliding door gear???
