Hiya

Got a new system running off a Vaillant 828 combi.

Shower is ok but at some point in the future I want a bit more POWER!

12 inch shower head and corner bath etc.

What are the ways of achieving this? Do i need to add a tank, off which I can run a fat pump? Or are there other ways (some DIY bod mate muttered "expansion vessle" to me but I don't trust him - he steals my hammers).

You could always add a hot water cylinder, heated by the combi and supplying the shower and bath. If you wanted to, you could then fit a pump to this.

Could use a mains pressure cylinder, which would give the pressure without a pump BUT ONLY IF your mains supply is very good indeed.

mains supply is not good - just above legal requirement I beleive.

So water tank is the way to go. Does this have to feed all HW (eg kitchen, bathroom taps) or is it possible just to have it feeding shower and bath?

Also - how do I economically control when this tank is filled and how it is kept hot? Obviously I don't want a tank of boiling hot water 24hrs a day...or do I?

Have it plumbed in as you would for a traditional system, Y or S plan, you
then get full control, timed and temperature.

Would be good to just have it plumbed for bathroom only.
