Any magic techniques other than just digging the stuff out from between the rafters?

Got a roof window to fit and this stuff is not only inthe way it's glueing the tiles to the roof.

Anyone tried everbuilds foam eater?

Thx chaps

I found a bread knife works best. One of the ones with the smooth serrations :).

Not as magic as I was hoping for but can see where you're coming from.

You haven't tried 'foam eater' then?

No, but I wouldn't fancy what it might do to my lungs it in a confined space. I would cut through the conventional way and only use it for tidying up the edges, if anything.

The particles may irritate you from the cutting (if you're like me), but a cheapo mask should be good enough to stop them, whereas not sure about any noxious vapour from the foam eater.

if somebody has squirted it all over the rafters, you may as well get some practice in, because it will all have to come off when the timbers have rotted (even) more.

that spray foam is terrible stuff for trapping moisture against the fabric of the roof.
