Have you read the rules? for example:

well of course mod 11 is my absolute favourite, then again mod 3 is pretty cool too.....
It should be obvious to anybody with a bit of sense that this particular rule is aimed at stopping people from hijacking posts on the advice sections of the forum and preventing the original poster from getting the help they ask for.
It is not for the benefit of posters in general discussion (look up what those words mean) to help them keep some silly meaningless thread about whatever on topic.
The sooner you understand that, the less whinging you will do and the less opprobrium you will attract in response.

And why is it (ignoring the added insult !) that rule 2 applies only to everything except GD, whereas rules 3 and 9 are heavliy enforced in GD?

Because most of your whining on this forum stems from the fact that you haven't the intelligence to realise for yourself the obvious truth of what I posted about rule 2.
I.E. You start some thread or other and as soon as somebody posts something that takes the thread off at a tangent you are up in arms whinging like a baby and crying for the mods.
It's general discussion you f*cking idiot, so what if a thread goes off topic? So what if you started it? Starting a thread doesn't give you editorial rights over it. Get over yourself and let's have less crying from you.
