Heating but no hot water

Hi guys have had no hot water all day for some reason.

We have a vaillant Eco pro max boiler now when you switch the heating on the boiler fires up but when u switch the hot water you get nothing??

Any ideas where to start looking?

Is this a combi? If so a jammed aquasensor seems likely!

Is a combi one that heats water as you turn tap on if so then no as it has to heat tank up first.

Does it have a number like 937 ?

It's either Eco max pro 18e or 23e

Ok then it willl have a motor valve to control heating flow to the cylinder.

The valve is either not opening or the microswitch inside is not activated to bring on the boiler.

Hi,

We have just moved house which has a back boiler and no immersion heater switch. The thing is that the control panel has seperate settings for the water and heating, yet neither will work without the other. Our landlord says that's just the way it is, but I don't believe it is. Can someone please help explain what's going on as we've always managed to manage both independently in previous properties.
