My mum boiler as above is only getting a basin full of hot water then goes cold after that, the heating is okay. It is just 3 months outside of the 2yrs warranty, got the plumber who fitted the boiler but not sure what the problem is and was going to ring the Worcester for further advice, the plumber now doesn't want to know about this model but only his Glow Worm models! Anyhow we have to find someone else but not sure the best way to go about although Worcester said they will come out to investigate quoted approximately £300-£400 via phone, is this the best way to go or will any plumber know what to do?! Is this a simple thing to do for any any plumbers?
What is it most likely to be, a flow switch ?

My mum is in Southend Essex area if that's any help.

Hmm, no hot water at all now, the only info I can tell you is the hot water flow is 10 litres per 1 minute and the cold water is 15 litres per minute

Don't forget that your Statutory Rights continue AFTER the warranty has expired.

Yes the boiler is firing, the central heating is working and the blue light is on but not flashing

could simply be the divertor motor or flow switch. not the hardest job to change. on the right hand side. look to see if the arm is moving when you switch on and off the boiler. does the boiler even fire on hw demand. if so you can take the motor out and move the paddle by hand to see if it moves freely. p.s they revised the stepper motor due to failure. the old one is silver and black like this

Their reply if anyone is interested,

Thank you for your email.

We have two payment options for boiler repairs.

The first is a repair only charge of £230. This will cover your Worcester boiler and its Worcester controls for labour, VAT and most parts however, should the boiler require a significant part, (such as a shell, a tank or back plate) or if the boiler is beyond economical repair, then the engineer will quote a revised charge on the day. Any parts fitted will be guaranteed for a period of 12 months and payment for the appointment is reserved, by credit or debit card, at the time of booking and then debited after the appointment has been completed.

The second option will cover the cost of this repair and will also provide a further 12 months breakdown protection at a cost of £285, which is payable via direct debit in 12 monthly instalments and administered for Worcester, by Domestic and General.

The charge includes labour parts and VAT, however if we find that we are unable to repair the boiler, or that it is uneconomical to repair, then you will be given a full refund. Only your Worcester boiler and its Worcester controls are covered and full terms and conditions will be sent to you within 14 days of taking out the cover.

If you wish to arrange an appointment, please provide a convenient time and method for us to contact you.

We look forward to hearing from you.

well if you wana pay over the odds then be it.
The problem is my mother lost trust with some of the plumbers in our area over the years and the last plumber haven't a clue and according to Worcester the boiler is not fitted correctly specially when the last plumber is Gas Safe registered, my mother have been having problem with hot water for over 4 months so she rather pay and get it done, Worcester will be sending out their report of the faults etc, will let you know

One of the problem is the boiler is just above the electric CU so I don't know what the rules and regs is on this

If you don`t know of any decent heating engineers in the area, then for your own and your mums peace of mind, put her on the yearly contract with WB.

Will let you know the outcome
Worcester receipt quoting:

Changed blocked plate heat exchanger. Also flue not installed to manufactures instruction.

I'm assuming if the flue is dangerous they would've shut the boiler down?

Is the blocked plate heat exchanger for heating the water?
