Flat roofing long screws

When I get to putting the extension flat roof together, it will have 140mm Celotex onto of the timbers/firrings, the 18mm OSB board and I was wondering if the are decent screws on the market say 170mm long to hold this lot together?

Longest I can find at screwfix are 160mm and these are £45 for 50 of them. My roof is 7m x 4m so £45 worth isnt going to go far

There was a post, in this forum, or the roofing or materials forum, and someone posted a link to get these long screws from a supplier quite cheaply

You should be able to find it from a search. I don't have the bookmark on this machine
 
screw fix do inscew roofing nails it is my intention to use something like these on my dormer in a fortnight
 
Try RSC Fixings they do roofing screws up to 300mm long, plus the decking plate washers.

Its good practice to lay 18mm board, then insulation, then roof decking, better chances of getting good fixings.

Are you sitting comfortably? - try toolstation 56512. I ended up buying a few hundred for a similar project. The hammer in ones are cheaper but with these ones you can re-adjust and re-align. The paslode ones also countersink themselves and you even get a torx bit in the box :LOL: .

They are pricey but factor in the overall cost of the roofing materials and its a small part if you are doing a decent job.
