Scantronic 9450 Home Alarm

A power cut highlighted the need to replace the battery in the control box and i the bell box. I have sourced the battery for the control box but I cannot find a supplier for the battery in the bell box.

I am a novice at DIY! The battery appears to be fixed to a circuitry board. Can you help me to locate a replacement for this home alarm system. Advice much appreciated.

It sounds like its soldered directly onto the circuit board. You will be better just fitting a new bellbox.

Searched a number of web-sites for a (Scantronic) "bell box" but assume the original is a not manufactured by them but was chosen by the installer (CDS Durham). My brother -in-law dealt with the alarm as we were away. He says there are more than 5 wires (up to 8?) in the bell box. Any suggestions as to where I might source a new bell box? So far my search has not proved successful.
