Hi

I've got this service valve connected to my dishwasher hose one end and some style of 'speedfit' pipe the other.

It has started to leak and is not solved with tightening the compression end of the valve. Can you use compression on these plastic pipes? Is there an insert?

Does anyone know what brand of pipe it is and where to get replacement connectors/valves from?

Many thanks. It's a good job I've got pine floorboards and not chipboard, its so soggy I think that half of the kitchen would have sunk by now on chipboard!

Yes you can use comp - Yes there should be an insert - Could be JG Speedfit pipe . Though they are all pretty much standard sizes . Any plumbers merchant should have all the bits

Its a straight 15mm compression washing machine valve connected to,looks like 15mm speedfit plastic pipe and washing machine hose

Thanks for the replies.

So I need to buy a standard washing machine valve and a 15mm insert.

Should I cut the speedfit pipe back 20mm or so before re making it all?

Thanks
