Which brands of acrylic baths are 8mm thick

I need a new bath and have been advised to go for a thick acrylic model, but when I had a look at my local DIY superstore, there was no mention of bath thicknesses.

Or are steel baths better ?

Plastic is easy to scratch!

Feels warmer though!

The lip is usually thicker.

Fibreglass is a nice compromise as pressed steel always looks a bit cheap!

They can vary in thickness across the molding. Sometimes even the thick ones have thin spots on them, especially around the edges of the wooden insert in the base. If its rigidity you're after you can improve it a lot by mounting them firmly.
