Honeywell MAX 3 READER WIRING?

A tamper with this firmware level would read MAX 0 Tamper. From your pics, I see that the cover is fitted.

Is 61.4 (prox diags) showing your keyprox and the MAX at 100% on PROX 102 and PROX 100 ?

I have just tried on the bench without any issues.

Another thing I would say is that the MAX has NVM, so can remember its address once set. I can't remember how to reset that.

Since you say that it's not being seen and you have 3 keypads (all prox ?), then it may be that it has been previously set up on one of the current keypad addresses and is clashing with one of your keyprox keypads. You may be able to see which one by looking at the RS485 signal percentage in diags as I alluded to in my previous post - scroll through all the pads and wait a few seconds at each. If it is clashing, try disconnecting the suspect keypad or as many keypads as you can and then try re-scanning and get it set to the free address before re-connecting the keypads. I have tested this out by creating a clash and powering the test panel off and on again. The MAX isn't seen and behaves in an erratic manner.

The keypads can be disconnected by removing the screw terminal block on the back, as they are push fit (a bit tight usually).

Apart from a clash (which may be likely as you have so many keypads and if the MAX has been used previously),. then I fear that it may end up being a faulty MAX reader. You can PM me if you want to send it for testing.

If you have prox keypads (CP38) you'll have a mare getting it seen by the panel.

If i'm connecting one I make sure I have a MK7 keypad (CP37) connected, learn in the MAX, then add the keyproxes later

Firmware is fine its the latest version.

I reckon your keyprox and max3 are on the same address (0).

However the max3 is showing all LED's lit. When in eng mode the LED's displays the address of the max3. In this case (8) which is default out of the box.

Normally on the bigger Galaxy panels you would search for and change the address of the max3 to something not used by a keypad/prox in the range of 0-7.

Put one keyPAD on first and exit eng, deleting any missing devices.

Reenter eng mode and connect the max3, exit eng, this should find the max3.

Check in diagnostics, 61.4 for the addresses that are used.

Readdress the keyPROX, connect in and exit eng.

Good luck
