How do you get the 100mm dia vent past the external vertical tile hanging and make weather tight?

Couldn't get access to outside of vertical tile hanging, so cut a hole in plasterboard ceiling and threaded flexi hose to outside soffit board. Lucky all ceilng joists going the right way for a change. Hung out small window and cut hole in external soffit, fixed vent grille.
I've being meaning to get that sorted for a long time, but the tile hanging was/is so fragile, to frightened to give it a go.
