Hello, im having a new boiler fitted and wondered as the fact the old boiler no longer works (the flame still comes on though) how the fitter will clean the system, I believe hes doing a magna clean first. Im a bit worried he hasnt realised the boilers not working as the flame still comes on.
Thanks

If you mean a powerflush he will (should) have his own equipment for that and it doesn't matter if the boiler isn't working. A Magnaclean is normally fitted with the new boiler and isn't used to clean the system before the new boiler is fitted.

Just to add something to that: the old system should be powerflushed BEFORE THE NEW BOILER GOES ON THE WALL.

I think its just a standard flush hes priced for. Does that mean I better point out to him the boilers not working? If so how much extra is a power flush? Thanks

You need to ask him. The important thing is to get the old system clean first.
