Hi. I have a relatively new bar mix type shower in our en-suite. Don't know the exact type (although should be able to find out) but I got it half price from Screwfix. I think around £60. It's been installed around a year and a half.

This morning at round 6:10/6:15 I heard the shower start to run ?albeit not full pressure), then drip slowing down until it stopped. This isn't the first time this has happened but it is by far the first time I've heard it to this extent. Quickly discounting the possibitly of a ghost, does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

My only theory is the fact the boiler comes on at 6:00 and could the pressures have anything to do with this? Although I would have hoped the shower is ok, it wasn't selected specifically to meet the system, and I don't know the details of heating systems. The other issue I have noticed re entry although was not fully sure was that the shower was meant to be thermostatic but recently has not been keeping to temperature.

I have no idea what warranty I have but I don't know if the cost of the shower is worth the plumbers cost even. So any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

New thermostatic cartridge is needed if it is changing temperature.

Take a picture of your mixer and send it to 'showerdoctor.co.uk' with as much info as possible and they can sell you a new cartridge.
