Hi

I have siemans thermostat in the lounge and siemans timer/programer in the kitchen under the boiler

Can I replace the room stat with a programable one that can be controlled via iphone. I'm on call or away a lot of the time and dont need the house warm when i'm not there.
It would be great to turn on the heating when I'm on my way home from work.

99% sure that you can, but a model number for your current thermostat will confirm it for sure.

The internet system that I was involved in designing www.inspirehomeautomation.co.uk

works with virtually everything and will have an iphone app in about 2 weeks time.

There are other systems out there as well.

Thanks for the reply, my setup is a
Siemans RWB9 programmer
Siemans RAA02 room stat

Potterton Suprima boiler.

Is there an easy way with this setup?

Hi Tony.
Assuming you can currently switch your heating on independently of your hot water, then yes its very easy.

For our system.
Replace your current roomstat with our programmable one. Set the central heating on your current programmer to ON and you're done.

Just a note
Your current roomstat doesnt require a neutral (Though there may be a neutral present) Some new internet thermostats will require a neutral to work, so if you go with a different one, check their wiring requirements match what you currently have.

Hope that helps.

Regards

Gavin
