DPC in a new door way

I'm hoping this is a straigth forward question.

I've installed a UPVC/composite door in place of a window. The door sill sits on top of the DPC on the outer wall giving a minimal step internally, and sensible step up from external (2x brick courses to dpc + depth of sill)

Internally I have removed brickwork down to the DPC. The current DPC is approx 10mm above the concrete floor level. Ideally I would like to take the floor tiles right up to the door frame so need to level it down to or below current concrete floor level.

I plan to
- cut existing DPC,
- knock out an additional course of bricks on the interal wall taking it below floor level.
put a length of DPC on top of the lowered brickwork, fold up the sides to atleast orginal DPC (therefore giving a continuous DPC)

from there I'm not quite sure where to go. I need to raise this level back to exsting floor and bridge over the cavity. I've looked at cavity closers but they seem to need 2x level walls to sit between, which I wont have (and not sure they are designed for walking on or just putting around windows etc).

Whats the best way to do it?

Yeah, that's pretty much it so I'm about right with the dpc. I'm still concerned about the support of the concrete though it won't have antyping to key to except the dpc. Perhaps some fixings left half way out for the concrete to set around?

Once you have removed enough masonry to allow you a decent thickness of concrete or screed just line the entire trough with dpm and fill.

You can also fit a piece of rigid insulation along the inner face of the external wall. This can create gripper rod fixing problems when running carpet up to a door threshold but won't in your case (floor tiles).

No, I ain't got time for that Joe. It's an image I found using google images here:-
