my wall was painted and I did removed the paint using some chemicals, then I ask a professional company to come over and clean the bricks with acid the result was so bad very bad.
I ask some other company to do a test and leave the wall in one colour but they could not do it.
and the only way to have it right was to grind it. Now is good but a bid fade colour. maybe Yacht Varnish is a good solution...
thx

Give it up as a bad job. You'll have ground the face off the bricks. You should have left it painted.

the grind is so thing that you can even notice, and the finish is good although not as I would like to be. definitely a better look now. this is a Victorian 3 floor house and it should never have been painted.
I bought a 5 litres of storm-dry water sealant I hope it does the job and protect the wall.

Just trying to find out if there is any way to keep the bricks shiny for longer thatn just 6 or 12 months...
thx

Oh sorry i didn;t read it properly, i didn;t see the extrenal bit.

The varnish trick would not work outdoors i imagine

With a hard burnt brick or quarry tiles you can use a mix of linseeed oil and turps to get a shiny finish. It looks really nice when it's first done and the customers like it, but it does have a limited life span and will need to be re-done from time to time.

I just wandering if this sealant will do the job
