Condensation trap won't drain properly - pipes not frozen.

I've got a problem with my combi boiler (hydroline B24 - a truly miserable piece of crap). The little bung in the condensation trap with electrodes in keeps tripping the boiler as the trap is getting too full. Last time this happened my pipes had frozen and the heating engineer that came out showed me how to fix it if it happened again (pull the bung out, dry electrodes etc).

However, at the moment my pipes are clear and yet the condensation trap is filling every 8 hours or so and tripping the boiler. Any ideas?

does it empty into a gutter that is full of leaves?

Has it fallen off its clips so that it is bowing and not sloping downwards all the way?

Is there any possibility of having the pipe re-routed so that it connects, indoors, to the same waste as your kitchen sink, so that it doesn't freeze?

Thanks for the reply. I'm afraid none of the above apply! The pipe is completely clear, leading to a drain the sits just outside the wall where the boiler is located.

Could it be possible the tank itself is faulty, and not draining as it should?
