Looking to change O rings/diverter valve on my Potterton Performa 24 - anyone got a link to info on how best to do this (I haven't done it before, so would appreciate a step-by-step)? Also, best places to get the parts from? Thanks.

A Wolsley parts center are quite good. If you are close to Croydon then Curzons or Shoreheat are a god bet.

Tried your MI for the replacement of the O-Rings

What is the symptom of the problem you're attempting to solve?

It's a high-pitched screeching noise that often comes on when the CH is running and a hot tap is then turned on. Turning off the CH for a while is the only way to stop it.
I posted a week or two back regarding trying some X200 in the boiler, but someone reckoned a faulty diverter valve was more likely...

If you use this link you'll be able to see the service manual. I should point out (a) that you need to be competent, in the eyes of the law, in order to undertake what you're planning to do, and (b) I'm not advocating that you do the work.

Rather than create a new topic, it would have been clearer if you'd continued the original one, because, well, because it's the same problem.

Do a search on words like "screeching" - various things (washers etc) can do it. I doubt it's inside the DV itself.
