i have just bought a new integrated washing machine and suprise suprise the hinges on the door panel do not match up with the hinge holes on washer. the top hinge will need dropping about 15mm. to do this i will need to fill existing hinge recess 35mm dia 12mm deep. so i need something to fill this hole which can then be re-drilled. bottom hinge will be ok as will be in solid section of door. any ideas?

Flexible car body filler.Or two part wood filler, very similar products apart from the colour.

Try cutting it a plug the size of the hinge hole you want filled. Leave some slack for glue, or slits to allow glue to escape up sides, now cut plug to depth - 1/2 mm (for glue space) and glue up hole.

Mark the center for the new hole, and once the glued plug is set and dry re cut the hinge hole...simples

pinenot ;)
