Hi all my drivers electric window switch has fallen into the door (probably me being too ham fingered) is it easy to repair or does it have to go in garage (i am a gas engineer so not totally useless i don't think)

take door panel off and find out. they could be push and you you have pushed them out.

if you take the screws off the side and bottom of the trim,
carefully prize off the small trim on the interior grab handle and undo that screw.you can get your hand up the back and reclip the switch back into place.this saves taking off the door trim.

B...y hell you are ham fisted. Before doing any removals Get a wire coat hanger and tape about 6inches of the end form a hook and fish it up work it back through the seating gap. if it works all well and good.
But however you do it don't be so b....y heavy handed.

Other than that it's remove panel job as per marka356 There will also be push fit clips usually on the hinge end of the panel carefully prise the panel away from the door, use something wide bladed like a stiff wall paper scraper. Mirror bezel /trim has to come off any screw caps prise these off carefully they blend in but are still noticable if you look closely.

Try your local library they may hold some vehicle workshop manuals. If you phone them they will tell you. Join or take a digi camera and take pics of the pages you want. I did for a Vauxhall my mate couldn't get a manual local for his model they were out of stock [that was aimed at critics thinking he was tight] he is but that's beside the point.
