Hi all, i have a Ferroli 77ff combi, over the last few months it has been loosing pressure on a regular basis. i have done some research and the expansion vessel was suggested. when i went to check the pressure a fair bit of water came out of the valve and there was hardly any pressure. I'm assuming that the vessel is U/S and needs replacing. could someone confirm this and give me a rough price for the labour to change it. Many thanks, Jim

Is the shreider valve at the bottom or top? If at the bottom it is possibly ok. lower the system pressure to 0 and pump up the vessel to 1 bar. Then top up the system pressure to aprox 1 bar. check that your prv is not letting by.

PRV is OK and dry, The expansion vessel is at the top and to the rear. looking at the manual its a big round thing with a valve on it.

in assume that makes it at the top of the vessel. This almost certainly means a knackered vessel. Not familiar with this boiler so not sure of cost. you could get a vessel fitted externally. This could be correctly sized and cheaper. Do you have space for an external vessel?

Yes I think I would. Would this be a sphere type as the one that's on looks like a steering wheel disc lock.
