The most boring country / place you've ever been.

I traveled a little bit in my life.

Fair bit of Europe. Canada,US and Oz

Whats the most boring place you've ever visited?

Mine are :-

Switzerland (lovely scenery, but lacking any vibe)
Canada (admittedly only Vancouver and Calgary) ditto.

And of course.... Grange over sands!!

You must have missed the 24 hour Horlicks bar on the prom

Without a shadow of doubt MILLOM in Cumbria . What a depressing little town that is- situated in the 'back of beyond' alonside the worst road in the country.
Makes Grange O Sands look like Vegas .

Morecambe.

They stand dead people up in the bus shelters to make it look more lively. (With apologies to Les Dawson.)

Forgot about Morecambe, which is very easily done, cos that certainly would be a top-dump contender. Finest dining establishment there is the costa coffee on the main drag. Another place kept alive solely by public spending.

Non of you ever been to Workington, Whitehaven, and Barrow in Furness.
It used to be said they should cut that bit of Cumbria off and let it float out to sea, nobody would miss it.
On the other hand the coast line is magnificent, its just those towns are the pits.

Yes you are right Morecambe is a **** hole now,but it didnt used to be back in the day, ever since jet travel became available to the masses, some time in the early 70s, the town has been in a slow decline ever since,It used to have one of the coolest Art Deco swimming pool's in the country to built to be used in the Olympic's, but it was decided localy that it had to go, for mysterious reasons ,these days it would not be allowed it would be deemed an architectual crime, after holiday makers stopped comeing to the town, all the empty accomodation was filled with doleys from all over the country including a lot from London and latterly from europe Now its a very sad place and not a very safe place to be. I expect this echoes round the country?

Vancouver is one of the best cities in the world (even though it lacks decent beer).

However, Brussels is a grey boring hell hole. And Montreal was fairly dull when we went in '98. It looked like there was only one building that had been built since '76. Says it all.

And as others mentioned: Morecombe

Las Paphos in Cyprus not sure about the rest of Cyprus though[/quote]

Your kidding me right! Cyprus is one of the best places i've been, apart from the blue skies and crystal clear water, go inland and visit the Roman amphitheatres, go up into the Trudos mountains.

When i was on Lightnings we went out there once a year so the jockies could fire their canons off in the firing range in the Med, on a long weekend, Friday midday until Monday midday (week of days followed by a week of nights) five of us would club together and hire a Fiat 124 and tour the island, beautiful, this was before the Turks invaded, i could easily live there.

Well it looks like Belgium has won by an overwhelming majority vote...

Agree with the opening poster on Switzerland, nice and tidy but dull. No atmosphere whatsoever.

Austria was the same stayed near a place called Bludenz 15000 odd people apparantly, had a couple of nights in town, only 2 pubs, 1 disco, no women. Place was like a stereotype full of moustachioed krauts. Nearby ski resort St Anton was good for a night out though, league of nations there. Was with the army/TA as guests of the Austrian army, we had better nights out at the base pub. Beautiful country though.

Disagree with Belgium, although Ive only been to one place Ypres with the TA again. The locals were great and for a small town they had a couple of discos and loads of pubs for that outside drinking on a town square thing.

Paris was disappointing. Bratislava was also very dull after experiencing Prague.

I prefer Switzerland, paris anyday to czech.
prague very nice scenery as for surrounding areas ie most etc.
ok if you like garden gnomes.

My car broke down in Rockhampton Queensland ,Nothing much there but a meat factory, I worked there got the ford falcon fixed and left.

Seaton Sluice-- up the road from whitley bay.Even the sun never seems to shine there .
Another depressing coastal town . Not quite as bad as Millom though.
