A lot of engineers driving BG vehicles and working for BG can actually be contractors who are contracted to them five days a week or whatever, they might be Gas safe registered in their own right, why not just ask him ? I certainly would not be offended if any customer asked me for proof of registration or PLI , by the way I am not working for BG but have done in the past

I'm bg and I fit boilers for people the vat/tax is paid through either my dads or brothers company as well as being signed off. Everyone's circumstances is different.

To be honest the bg installations will soon be mostly done by contractors. It's not ideal as the quality will vary but ive seen some beautiful installations done by contractors. Bg chi has always struggled to make money even with the prices they charge and having a load of engineers employed in the summer when the work is thin doesn't make sense. Centrica and bg are really focused on cost savings at the moment and it is paying off as the share price is rocketing.

Chi direct labour out numbers contractor labour by far. Installations will NOT soon be mostly done by contractors. You dont get a bg van unless you are direct labour.

'To be honest' if you are bg and happily doing homers that is why so many of your friends and colleages got made redundant last year.

Sorry but you are wrong, when I worked for BG on servicing as a contractor I was issued with a BG liveried van and my cousin is still a contractor with them and has a BG Liveried van and both of us are Gas safe registered in our own names not BG
