I've just had a bbq using a disposable bbq on the roof of my flat. Unfortunately the foil bbq came off it's stand and has burned the roof. The roof is covered in what I believe to be asphalt but I'm not sure.... its silvery grey but has now melted a bbq sized section that is now black.

I don't think that there is a hole but I can't be certain and I'm worried that water will get in when it rains. Can anyone advise how I can address this?

ive also uploaded a photo of the burned area.

If its a silvery grey finish , then you have probably got an asphalt roof this has then been painted with a heat reflective paint to try and keep some of the heat off the roof . If it has not gone through to the surface of the actual roof then you should be OK . However if your in any doubt you need to get an asphalt roofing specialist tohave a look at it for you. Its not really a job for a diyer .

looks like its just burned the paint off, dunno what that bitumen looking stuff is but it looks pretty waterproof.
