Replacement Substitute For Old Cistern Lid

Hi,
My mates cistern lid broke. Is an Ideal standard - Tiara/Caroline . Is no longer made is there another make of cistern lid that would fit. I looking at using an enamel spray aerosol colour matched to paint it.
Any help much appreciated.

You can still get a lid.
But they are about £150.

Yes I know thats why I'm thinking of using a substitute that fits and colour match spraying it.

Trying to find a substitute will be a nightmare and as for spraying it.

You could leave it open?

Some people just put a plywood cover on top!

Or buy a nice new "toilet to go" from B&Q or Wickes!

A shelf.

A couple of brackets either side of it and slightly higher so the shelf stands a little above the cistern. Make the shelf out of moisture-resistant MDF and paint it to match the decor of the room.

You would need a quiet fill valve - Fluidmaster, for instance.
