Well the all singing all dancing weathershield sprat system didnt really catch on did it!

(ooops another negative comment)

No probably because it was a hand pumped system and you need more pressure and a wider nozzle to pump thicker paint like Weathershield.

I bought a fantastic compressor from Lidl £79.
Great for inflating the car tyres and other tasks / bought a spray gun from Ebay £19 and sprayed my whole house (2 coats) with weathershield in under 3 hours. Cost - 15 buckets of weathershield and a sore back.

Previous respraying cost involving 2 painters lots of ladders and scaffold = £2500.

I dont know why dulux bring out this stuff..that other thing they brought out with the roller and brush was a total flop too...

Sounds like you had a read bargain there though with that Lidl machine...did you have to thin the paint much?

Yeah that roll on thing was a nonsense!!!

Didnt have to thin it at all it went straight into the spray gun reservoir 5l - it had a good selection of nozzle sizes but the pressure from the compressor goes up to 250psi which helped.

Amazing what you can do when you Do It Yourself and its a much better job than the painters did as they used brushes.
