Gigabyte GA-K8VM800MNF motherboard (solved)

Picked up one of these boards which seem to have been made for Packard Bell PCs and is working well.

It seems on the front panel pin set there's no power LED facilitiy.

The pin set is configured -

PD+ PD- PW+ PW-

HD+ HD- GND RST RSV

I thought perhaps PD+/PD- were Power Display, IE Power LED but the PC case power LED plug is three pin, the middle one being blank.

The certainly no connector pin set marked Power LED on the board.

Try this. You might just have to modify the case connector to make it fit the board (i.e., remove each lead from the plug and connect them individually to the board.
 
Solved it

I took the three pin cap and split it down the middle on the blank section so the two cut sides of the cap fit over the motherboard pins.

I would have thought the cap would drop to bits if you tried this but no.
