Hi, can anyone help my gas fire decided to stop working,(ie)the pilot will light but when I turn the control knob to ignite the the main fire the it goes out, I have replaced the thermocouple but the same thing happens,can anyone suggest what I should try next.

At a guess if you are asking....... you are not competent...as there are other components other than the thermocouple that will cause your fault and as you are not competent or a registered engineer ...well nothing more to say.

Thanks,but I don't think I said I was an engineer,and I was under the impression this site was to try and get helpful replys to solving problems,but by your reply it seems everybody is an idiot except you.account closed.
