I'm having trouble closing a window and I'm not sure what's the best way to fix it.
It's a pvc double glazed unit with hinges on the sides so it's top opening.
The bolt on the bottom right keeps hitting the frame and its too low where as the bolt on the left clears the frame but clips the metal catch areas.
Any ideas what I need to do to fix the problem?

Thanks

Confused  hinges on the side - top opening???????????????

That aside, from the pics you've posted it's not a new window, so what's happened since it's installation to cause the problem?...pinenot :)

Sorry wasn't very clear
The sliding hinges are on the sides like the picture in the link.
Not sure what's happened - it's been stuck since I bought the place.

You need to take the sash out and adjust the hinges on the side of the sash, looks like the sash has dropped

These hinges are usually screw fixed through the slide(s) channel, into the plastic groove behind. The screws are countersunk to allow the plastic sliding shoe to pass, unimpeded. Take these screws out and remove the hopper (widow) as suggested, then see if the hinges can be made to slide as intended, you'll probably have a proud screw head causing the problem, or someone has replaced one with another too big, or a round headed, or the one of the fixing screws, have been slack and blocking the slide channel...pinenot :)

one off my windows is like that the hinge has become sloppy so one off the horns at the top off the hinge catches on the side off the socket

my solution is to push the frame at the opposite bottom corner whilst you pull the handle this lines the horn up with the socket and it closes

the answer would be a new hinge
