EPDM Rubber Roof (Firestone) Cost

Hey guys,

Had a few quotes at around the £400-£500 mark for installing EPDM Rubber Roof over my porch which is approx 4m2. I was curious as to whether this was reasonable as theres little data around to suggest a general cost per square metre installed.

This includes:
- Removing old felt
- Inspecting and fixing boards (if required)
- Installing 11mm OSB (screwed)
- Installing 1 roll firestone (flashed 200-300mm up wall tiles)
- 3 inch trim
- 1 days work x 2 people

If you've had multiple quotes that are around the same figure then that is the correct price.

Sounds about the figure that we would quote as a contractor

£100 M2 ! Its only a fiver M2 to buy,put another fiver on for sundries. We only charge £120 M2 for full monty green roofs !

From my research I was expecting in the region of £50m2. I can appreciate its cheap to buy, but a good quality fitter is going to set me back £150 a day up this way.

True Xenon, we'd charge the same as you but on a small job like that we still have to make a certain amount per day to cover overheads so £150 labour for one man for a day, we have to order EPDM as we require it so on top of material cost there is carriage so we're nearing £300 already and then add profit + overheads on top and it soon gets to the £100 per sqm
