The correct minimum fall of a flat roof should be 1:60 by design to acheive 1:80 with deflection ie sagging over time but with flat roofs with a gutter and no internal outlets to worry about over whelming the greater the fall the better. 6m/60 = 100mm difference between top and bottom

tar cambridgeroofer...very useful information :D

1:60 1:40

Could someone please tell me what this actually means ?

What is the 1 and what is the 40 or 60 ?

It's a ratio, so 1 whatever for every 60 whatever eg 1cm drop for every 60cm horizontal or 1 inch drop for every 60 inches horizontal, or 1 mile for every 60 miles, 1 potato for every 60 potatoes etc etc.
