I hope this in the right section.

I am struggling to clean some frosted glass. There are marks and stains, probably just finger prints. It's like the stain has got into the texture of the frosting.

I have tried all the usual stuff. Window cleaner spray, white spirit etc. Initially it looks quite clean but when the light catches it you can still see the marks.

Anyone any ideas?

No it's not a sealed unit.

It's actually my stairs balustrade but I thought I'd get more response in this section.

Apply 10mm of toothpaste then with a damp sponge rub until you just get a foam rub vigorously over the marks/stain until gone then wash down the glass to remove any paste, residue etc.
Good luck...pinenot :)

White spirit will make it worse , too much oil content.White vinegar will remove limescale etc.
