decking centers

Hi I know that the joist centers should be 400mm, but due to a bit of bad planning mine are going to be around 550mm.

In your experience will this be unacceptably bouncy?

I could double up inbetween the joists giving me around 365mm centers or would this be overkill?

I always use 500mm, with 32mm thick boards. No problems with bounce.

Thanks for the reply, will give it a go wouldn't be the end of the world if I did double em up about £100 more on wood, but thanks.
