Well, like it says on the tin, I've just fitted a new kitchen mixer tap with the pull out nozzle/hose. It's the type with the central lever right for hot, left for cold, pull forward to turn on.
It replaced an old mixer which worked just fine. All I did was turn the hot and cold water off at the pipes below the sink (quarter turn to horizontal) , connect up the flexible hoses (pretty much same arrangement as before, same sizes etc only difference was the hose connector which loops under the tap ). Turn both hot and cold pipes back on to vertical (heard that little noise on both which lets you know the pressure is there) and......
Lots of nice hot water but only a trickle when I turn to cold only.
We have a combi boiler so I'm led to believe it can't be an airlock, cold water pressure in all the other taps is fine and dandy.
Any idea what the problem might be, surely not a dodgy tap????
