I've a bag of grey concrete mix, and want to know if it's applied neat (on it's own without water) whether it's waterproof?

The problem is, I've just used a Interior/Exterior filler from Wickes, and didn't read the small print that it needs an additional oil based paint to apply on top to make to 100% waterproof, so my friend has just done quite a bit of guttering re-pointing with just the ready made filler, and within an hour of completing the job it began to rain and you can imagine what happened...yes, it began to sag in areas, so quick thinking today, we decide to reinforce the soft filler with neat concrete powder and force it back in so it can at least be rock hard given some dry weather this weekend.

Will this make it waterproof or?

it's where two sections of the roof meet, and it's got a lead gulley down both sides and it's the pointing that's crumbled, so just repairing!

thanks for the reply...where the filler is soft he's trying to blend the concrete in with it so can't add sand now, so just wondered if there's a waterproof solution I can apply over the repair once cured?

not too keen on black really, is there something grey or transparent?

Why don't you just do a proper job on it by taking out the old filler and pointing with a 1:3 cement/sand mix?

@pred, it's the mortar that's crumbled above the flashing adjoining the titles; just done the repair, all I want now is to waterproof it all with a suitable solution!

all being well it will be after I use: Thompson's One Coat Water Seal Ultra

thanks all for your input! I'll post feedback after 6 months! ;)
