extractor fan replacement with quieter one?

Normally 'quieter' means less powerful extraction rate.

This youtube demo seems quite impressive.

looks impressive although the point from the comment on youtube is valid: "The other fans weren't doing anything because they weren't turned on...you could see the propeller was still"

that said it's spec appears to be the same as the current one in terms of flow allow 11.5b quieter

are you talking noisy since new or for as long as you have lived there
have you serviced the fan ??

I killed it after a few seconds.

There are only 2 reasons for him to be wearing a white coat like that:

1) To try and spoof people into thinking that there is some kind of laboratory science at work, and that therefore he should be taken more seriously than just a product demonstrator.

2) To protect his clothes from snake-oil.

Either way, the wearing of it destroyed any credibility that the company might have had.

Short attention span then? ;)

I have no link to the company nor have installed this particular fan.

You, of course, have a perfect right to express your opinion. But I do think you have taken a myopic view on the presenter, in particular his clothing, instead of what was presented.

Perhaps its my fault - I should have anticipated your response and simply cut and pasted the companies home page.

Some members of the H&V industry seem to rate the credibility of this company and their product.

Fair enough.

Shall I take that trivialsing reply to mean that you have not thought about it at all, and don't want to, or that you have thought about it and realised that anybody with an IQ bigger than their shoe size should have grave misgivings about what he wore but refuse to admit that?

He deliberately wore a white coat, which he does not normally wear, in fact which he has probably never worn before or since, for a reason closely associated with the message which they wanted to push.

Are you really incapable of realising why they had him wear it?

regardless of their video, it does seem to have decent spec.

does anyone know a better one? And how easy is it to swap these units?

thanks
