Hello,
I currently have 2 cables which supply the lights and sockets to an outbuilding clipped along a 4 Metre fascia along the outside of my single storey kitchen. If I was to put a a plastic fascia facing over the existing timber fascia would it be acceptable to run the cables inside a channel in the timber fascia, with the plastic fascia on top? The entry and exit points for the cables would be visible at each end.
My gut tells me that this would be a proper lash up, but it would serve a purpose for a year or 2 until I have access to reroute the cables through the ceiling void of the kitchen.
