Hi, Iv'e just spent four days laying 16sqm of patio slabs. Iv'e laid them of a full bed of 1 part cement 5 part sand semi wet mix and jointed with Geo fix. The problem I have is that some of the slabs are showing very slight signs of movement. Should I stay off them longer or should they have set by now. Getting really paranoid now that there all going to come loose.

Forgot to mention, the cement bed was approx 40mm deep and laid on top of solid ground.

I'm laying slabs at the moment and using 5 sharp sand 1 cement and a dry mix and can walk on them the next day. I have 1 or 2 rockers but at the end I will lift them up and sort them out.

It sounds like the slabs were not bedded down sufficiently enough

Sorry to be blunt but They are rocking because they were incorrectly laid.

There is no remedy other than lifting affected slabs and relaying.

The rocking slabs will make the pointing fail if you don't sort them out.

You may find it easier to use a wet mix.
