Mondeo - Water in Passenger footwell.

MONDEO 2000 X reg Ghia

I am getting water into the passenger footwell and I think it must be coming from the heater under the passenger dash.
I have had the wiper scuttle off and looked everywhere from inside and out but cant see where it is coming from.
The Ford DVD technical info pictures of the area dont look anything like my cars heater area.
Any ideas ?

hello keith,i assume this is the 97 shape mondeo.if it is remove the n/s scuttle and remove the pollen filter.you will see two bolts holding the housing to the bulk head.take these out,remove the housing,clean and add a nice bead of silicone to the underneath.also whats worth a look is to make sure the ac leak off pipe is not blocked.this i think is located by the heater hoses on the bulk head..
